Our first action when arriving at your vehicle is to perform a diagnostic test to ensure we are able to clean the DPF system and that there are no faults preventing this.
Hopefully we don’t find any faults or problems but if we do we will advise you on the best options to take to sort this.
On finding no faults we will begin the process. Firstly we clean the filter using our specialist soap based solution. To break down all unwanted blockages, we will let it soak for about 45 minutes to 1 ½ hours. This will enable us to then easily use our heat cleaning method. While carrying out the heat cleaning, we will flush out the system of all solution and dirt from the filter so it is left clear and clean.
To end this process, we reset any warning lights on your vehicle so that you can happily continue your journey.
Every vehicle’s cleaning cost is different due to the problem and condition of the vehicle and therefore can’t give a set price without analysing the vehicle. However we would like to give you an idea of what the pricing could be. Cleaning a DPF is obviously cheaper than replacing the whole system. Replacements can range between £1000 to £4000, again depending on the vehicle and its condition.
To clean the DPF costs between £250 to £400 plus VAT. Large commercial vehicles and trucks can cost higher in range and is usually £550 to £700 plus VAT.

The cleaning process can take about 1.45-2.30 hours, if it is very blocked then worst case is 3 hours
The benefits will be seen if you take care of the vehicle and take it out for long drives as recommended. The engineer that attends the clean will advise you on preventive measures.
The DPF is affected by how the vehicle is driven so we are not able to offer a warranty unfortunately. But we do offer a 14 day aftercare service in case anything DPF- related problems occur.

The clean is in two stages. Firstly we flush and clean the system with high strength products to clear blockages. Secondly the vehicle will undergo regeneration.
If it is a DPF problem then yes we can help you fix it. For anything else that may need fixing we can advise you.
Sometimes a garage will try to burn it off using forced regeneration but this doesn’t always work to clear the blockages if they are too severe. We specialise in DPF cleaning so can help clear the blockages thoroughly. We make sure that all blockages have been cleared so that regeneration can take place.
Yes after the clean of the DPF, the engineer will reset the relevant lights for this.
Yes the clean can still be done.
Long drives in the car mean that the DPF will continue to clean itself so this will be ideal. However if you mostly do short runs it may get clogged again.
Our engineers will always run a diagnostic test to begin with to ensure the clean can be done. If there are any reasons we can’t do the clean we would rearrange for another day after the other faults or problems have been fixed.
For 14 days after the clean we offer an aftercare service. If any lights come back on during this time we will revisit and do another clean of the vehicle for you.
Once we have started the actual cleaning process you don’t have to be there but we do you need you to attend at the beginning and end. This is so the diagnostic test can be done, paperwork, payment and obviously to gain access to your vehicle to start.
The booking fee is to cover the engineer’s time while running the diagnostic test and cover the travel time needed to arrive to your set location.
We will be able to clean your DPF if the vehicle is running ok. If however it isn’t and the DPF is physically damaged you will need to replace the DPF.
The light will turn on if there is a DPF blockage.
If your vehicle can’t start or run properly this means there are other faults occurring and this means they will need to be fixed before we can perform a clean.
We are able to address the DPF faults and the blockages related to this. The dash lights will be then reset for this. Anything else is best to ask the engineer who performs the clean.
DPF fixer can clean your vehicle in driveways, car parks and road sides but as long as the car is on a flat surface. Servicing a vehicle that is on a slope or steep incline is avoided due to the safety of our engineers.
